We want to thank you for a wonderfull stay in the A1 Appartment in February 2008. Stanley and Ingrid are really friendly, loving, caring and honest people. During one evening my 11 years old son lost some money on the hammock near our appartment. He was so frustrated because it was is souvenir money. The next day Ingrid asked us if we lost anything. We told her about his money and Ingrid give to him the money telling that a couple of people found the money on the hammock and hand it to her. Thank you again Stainly and Ingrid. I truly enjoyed being at A1 apartments, I have been in the past at highrise hotels before but this times I stayed within community it was very comfortable and pleasant, I felt like I lived there and still a vac atmosphere. I took the large room with the nice living room settings with kitchen, I felt so at home while being on vac. Hello people, Just a short report about our wonderful trip to the ABC-islands. After Bonaire and Curacao we came to Aruba, where we stayed at the A1 Apartments with Stanley a wonderful house owner, who knows how to handle things that people feel good at his wonderful, cute, clean and comfortable place. This January was the second time we stayed with Stanley and Ingrid and both times we found them to be gracious hosts. This year, however, Stanley was helpful above and beyond the call of duty, to wit: Upon arrival at the airport we were missing one of our suitcases and were told it'll probably arrive on the next incoming flight (9pm). We, therefore, gave them Stanley's phone number and went out walking and to dinner. When we got back to his house at 8pm he told us the good news--our suitcase has arrived, and the bad news--its content was flooded with the pancake syrup we had in it. It appears that the bottles had been punctured by the TSA when it was inspected. I won't bore you with our reaction and our laboroious efforts to clean everything. The important part is that Stanley, when called by the airport, drove there, picked up the drippy, maple-smelling suitcase, and deposited it in our room (on a board on the floor.). That's what we call great service! We are planning to stay with them next year and we hope the incident has not turned Stanley and Ingrid against pancake syrup (if they even liked it in the first place)... - Harold and Naomi Walpert

My efficient studio was perfect for my needs during my stay on Aruba. Stanley and Ingrid Kemp are gracious and attentive hosts. They have information to share, are knowledgeable about activities for guests, and very helpful in making arrangements for tours and activities on Aruba. The location of A1 Apartments is wondeful; pleasant, secure, convenient to attractions and facilities without being in the dreaded Tourist Zone. The other guests were interesting and enjoyable. A Tae Kwondo Group of 21 of us stayed at A1 it was like home from home, we took over the place. Stan the Man, Ingrid and Samuel made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. All of our party will definitely be coming back again hopefully next year with another Tae Kwondo team and if visiting Aruba on our own would definitely make this our first choice. First of all, thank you Stanley and Ingrid for your hospitality! I stayed in A1 in Jan-Feb 2004 for a month. I have been in Caribbean before, but first time I tried to get accommodation by Internet and it worked perfectly. The owners repaired a room specially for me :-)!Location is ideal, away from loud American tourists ;-) and people from all over the world staying in the house at that time were VERY NICE! We stayed there for a few days during our Spring Break of March, 2003. We, Deaf Gallaudet University students were looking for a afforable accomodation near Oranjestad and landed with a great budget price rate per night. Also it was so friendly, helpful, willing to be there to assist us with arranged for these events such as ATV, Sea Trek, etc. Especially Kemp is a wonderful person we met and treat us just like a part of his family during our stay in there! It was the best experience they had offer that nothing can replace that. We highly reccommended for this A1 apartment. Marvellous....from day one hosts Stanley and Ingrid ensured our stay was like home away from home. From the pickup at the airport to the drop back, we encountered A class service from this hospitable couple. We threw a small party a day in the week we were there, inviting other friends who stayed at other accomodations. Stanley and Ingrid not only opened up their apartments to our guests, but opened their private kitchen to us, organised some ingredients for the meals, and a karaoke machine. We had a memorable night of fun and a week of extraordinary service. And if you come as a group, there is no need to rent a car or van....Stanley will take you anywhere...not for free of course, but he was always on time, and if you had a few minutes extra, he would sometimes take you on an impromptu island tour.
